REMSA CAMPUS RENOVATION
Business as Usual – The Lepori team renovated three buildings on the REMSA campus over several phases to allow them to maintain all their 24/7 services. We renovated 20,000 sf within the $2.47 million project.
The first phase consisted of upgrades to their air and ground vehicle maintenance facilities on site which included demolition and construction for the expansion of their mechanic shops for both air (helicopter) and automotive personnel and a new ambulance parking canopy.
The second renovation consisted of the full remodel of one of their buildings into new office spaces. The full interior of this building was demolished to make way for the new office layout which was to house two separate entities within REMSA; therefore, access to employee areas was coordinated with a large electronic card access system installed during the first phase.
The final phase consisted of renovation to offices vacated by the second phase of work into the new emergency dispatch facility. Once this facility was up and running, the former area was demolished and renovated into additional IT space and offices.
Working with Architect Don Mackey, we used a design-assist approach to transformed three buildings into one cohesive campus by coordinating exterior finishes which now define REMSA. The project was carefully permitted and phased to ensure minimal downtime for staff, especially the crucial work in the dispatch area. Value-engineering and constructability input helped ensure this project was brought into reality even while working under tight budgeting constraints.
“If you have a vision as to what you’d like your project to look like then Frank Lepori Construction is the one what will help you create that vision. They take pride in their work, and they work closely with you to see that you get exactly what you want.”
